SLAP ON FACE OF HURRIYAT

Almost 3 dozen students out of fifty students of the Indian Army’s Kashmir Super-50 free engineering coaching institute in Srinagar have cracked this year’s IIT-JEE (Advanced), the results of which were announced on Sunday. This in spite of the call from Hurriyat a separatist group asking students join stone pelting and shun Army backed schools.

The outgoing batch is the fifth batch of Kashmir Super 50 which had 45 boys based in Srinagar and five girl students based in Noida.  Out of this batch 32students (30 boys and 02 girls) have cleared IIT-JEE Mains and seven students have cleared IIT-JEE Advance.

Project ‘Kashmir Super 50’ has been one of the most successful projects undertaken by the Indian Army in the valley. It has directly impacted the lives of a number of youths in J&K by providing them with the right guidance and opportunity to make a career for themselves.

The project has equally helped the families of these youths in their growth and prosperity. It is a major initiative towards bringing normalcy in the valley. This project has already irked Paksitan based ISI which has tasked the Hurriyat their puppet in India to give statements against the project.

A video had already gone viral in which a youth is questioning the Hurriyat as to why their children are topping the educational facilities and are having luxurious lives in the western world and they are being asked to pelt stones and live to be uneducated. That plot has fallen flat on the face of ISI of Pakistan.

A group of 30 students, part of Kashmir Super 50 visited New Delhi and interacted with General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff on 12 Jun 18. The General interacted with the students to share his experiences while serving in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He also motivated them to work hard to contribute actively to the nation-building process.

On similar lines of Kashmir Super 50 for engineering aspirants, Indian Army has recently signed a MoU for medical aspirants. The MoU has been signed with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) & National Integrity Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO). Under the MoU, the selected students will be provided with complete free residential coaching for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).

Indian Army hopes that this will aid not only the youth of Jammu and Kashmir but also their families in moving with the nation towards progress. It may be seen that the effort of Indian Army and government of India is to integrate Jammu and Kashmir into India, whereas that of Hurriyat is to make blood money by making students to refrain from gaining the quality education.
