TOGETHERNESS FOR HARMONY

This a shining example of communal harmony, a representative each from Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Christian communities came together to ring the bell at a 121-year-old Catholic Church  at Maulana Azad Road in Srinagar, for the first time in 50 years. The original bell was damaged in a fire on June 7, 1967. Kashmir has a rich composite culture and harmonious coexistence is the very essence of Kashmiriyat. With representatives of various religions joining for the above event, a message is sent at the national, international and local levels that residents of Kashmir believe that all are one and love and accept each other.
