JeM COMMANDER KHALID KILLED IN LADOORA
(JeM) commander code named Khalid, mastermind behind the BSF camp attack in Srinagar killed by SF in Ladoora area of Baramulla district. Khalid, a resident of Pakistan, was the most wanted militant and was categorised as A++. He was involved in a series of killings in northern part of Kashmir and was given the responsibility of reviving the terror group in Kashmir. He wasleading a ring of 12 terrorists (10 Pakistanis and 2 locals) targeting high-valued security establishments. They were responsible for the attack on a police complex in Pulwama on 26th August. Also in 2016, the group had attacked an army convoy in Baramulla which killed two Army men and one cop. 25 Pakistani-origin terrorists of the JeM are on the loose in the Valley. Most of the terrorists in this Jaish-e-Mohammed group are highly radicalised and have been motivated by their JeM chief and international terrorist Masood Azhar in the terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. They have merged with seven local terrorists headed by Khalid Mohammed Tantre alias Noor Trali who is their local commander. The group of 32 terrorists has now been divided into four subgroups with local jihadis attached to the foreign ones to act as their guides and lead them to their targeted areas for carrying out suicide attacks. The group, in coordination with Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been implicated in the 2001 Indian Parliament attaack and recent Pathankot and Uri attacks.
Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has created Jaish-e-Mohammed by working with several Deobandi terrorists associated with Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. Pakistani military justifies jihad in Kashmir as a legitimate part of its foreign policy. In December 1999, Harkat terrorists hijacked the Indian Airlines Flight 814 scheduled to fly from Kathmandu to Delhi, and diverted it to Kandahar. After they slit the throat of a passenger, Maulana Masood Azhar (cuurent head of JeM), Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, three Harkat operatives previously imprisoned in India were released. The released prisoners were escorted to Pakistan by the ISI and Masood Azhar was chosen to head the new group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The ISI is said to have paraded him on a victory tour through Pakistan to raise money for the new organisation. ISI built up the JeM to counter the growing power of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).US has now openly slammed Pakistan (Army/ISI) for its terror links and acknowledged Indian SF's relentless efforts in eliminating terrorists and maintaing peace in J&K.
