ARMY’S, 336 FD RGT BECOME CHAMPIONS

Army’s, 336 Fd Rgt (Ziran) were crowned as champions of a volleyball tourney on Monday, defeating J&K police team in a lopsided encounter.
J&K Police, Tangmarg locked horns with the 336 Fd Regt team in the final, where Army emerged winners in a cakewalk manner.
Four teams…Army,CRPF, BSF, JKP….participated in the tourney, which was played at Army camp, Ziran.
Cdr 79 Sect Brig Girish Kalia was chief guest on the occasion. He was flanked by CO, 336 Fd Regt, SDPO Tangmarg and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Brig. Kalia lauded the participation of all the teams stating that eventual winner is always the participant.
He also appreciated the role of Mr. Sajjad, PeT, AGS, Ziran and Mr. Rafiq for their impartial and unbiased refereeing.
In his words, Col Ohri said that army will continue to host and organise such events to hone the sporting skills of the “Men in uniform.”
He also said that such events foster bonhomie between army and other security wings, resulting in creation of conducive and brotherly environment for all the security forces.
All the participants of the respective teams as well as their concerned officers heaped praise on Ziran army for organising and hosting the volleyball tournament.
It is pertinent to mention here that recently a football tournament was organised at the same venue, where many local teams participated.
