J&K LIBRARIES TO SOON PROVIDE STUDY MATERIAL FOR KAS/IAS ASPIRANTS

Much to the delight for the civil service aspirants and other candidates preparing for different competitive examinations, the Department of Libraries and Research is all set to provide requisite e-learning to the students.

In an exclusive conversation with KNS, Director Libraries J&K, Mukhtar-ul-Aziz, said to provide quality coaching and comprehensive solutions to the students aspiring to appear in NEET, JEE and CET, the department shall made available all the material free of cost at all the government libraries across the state.

“Last year we provided free material at all our libraries for the aspirants of NEET and JEE. Around 5000 candidates visited the libraries and got benefited from it. Even several candidates qualified the examination as well,” Aziz told KNS.

He said the initiative could be a game-changer for the students especially to the students living in far off area of the state.

“We are introducing digital libraries as well where all the material for civil services KAS and IAS will be made available. Even the aspirants can search books online,” he said.

Aziz said the biggest advantage of the program is that it is in offline mode and need not to rely on internet connection all the time.

“The students will be continuously assessed online and they will be able to track their progress constantly,” he added.

The main aim of the initiative is to bring the students of J&K par with students at New Delhi or other states. With this, student can study a topic repeatedly without need of worrying about a missed lecture.

Under this initiative, the research material, audio-video lectures of 100 IIT qualifiers will be made available to students free of cost at the libraries under this initiative.
