ZAKIR MUSA BACK IN ACTION, THREATENS TO TAKE JIHAD TO THE LAST CORNER OF INDIA

In a detailed statement, surfaced on Sunday, Musa-led Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, a unit of al-Qaeda, has openly threatened Indian authorities, vowing to “take jihad to the last corner” of the country and by listing its targets. Al-Hurr, the propaganda arm of the newly formed terror group. The group asserted that it was “clear in its goals” and would target “Indian Army, police and every such person who is overtly or covertly involved in oppression against Muslims of Kashmir and India”. Al-Qaeda formally announced establishment of Ghazwat-ul-Hind, under the leadership of Musa, in July last week. Since then, the former Hizb-ul Mujahideen commander is reportedly high on the hit list of the Indian security establishment.  The state police claim that he has just five to six people in his immediate group in Tral and there would be around 20 militants across Valley subscribing to ‘Al-Qaeda’ type ideology.

Viewpoint:

Musa’s affiliation to Al-Qaeda proves the deadly intentions of these propagators of jihad who want to engulf Kashmir in the wave of barbaric terrorism.  Such statements are made with an aim to create fear psychosis and gain notoriety.  As is seen in the last few months security agencies have tightened noose around militant outfits in Kashmir successfully eliminating top LeT and Hijb commanders. This has caused a vacuum in the leadership and chaos and despair in their groups.  Musa has recently escaped an encounter with the help of locals and is on a run. Soon he will be laid to rest by security agencies and forgotten by his handlers.
