In a bid to shore up its cadre strength the Militant organisations are on a spree to recruit all and sundry, whosoever turns up for the rally. The Azadi movement has suffered a massive setback due to Army’s relentless onslaught.  Hizbul Mujahideen militant group has launched a recruitment drive to recruit at least 200 youth. In a desperate bid, former Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Musa has inducted a new recruit named Ghulam Hassan Wani, who is a resident of Dallipora area in South Kashmir, with a criminal record.  Wani was caught by police for sodomising young boys in a madrasa, but no case was ever registered by the parents of the victims.

A senior officer from Jammu Kashmir Police said, "In order to keep the identity of the boys concealed, the police led the case slide by. But Wani is a known pervert. He was caught having unnatural sex with a domestic animal by his neighbour before he fled."

Earlier Musa had declared that, 450 youth would be recruited in Tral. Men with good height, weight and physique should apply for recruitment. Only after a fitness test, the individual would be recruited, with arms and ammunition being handed over by Musa himself.
