Celebrating the holy month of Ramzan ,an Iftaar party was organized at Uplona by the Army Camp based at Uplona on 09 Jun 2017. A total 0f 690 locals that included Sarpanch, Panch, teachers and other important society members from various villages of the area attended the Iftaar.

The guests were welcomed with refreshments to break their fast followed by offering of ‘Magrib Namaz’. Thereafter the hosts joined the guests for the ‘Dawat - e - Iftaar’.

The event was attended by Commander of Haiderbeg based Rashtriya Rifles formation and among the other guests were - Mr Javed Hassan Beig, MLA ,Baramulla ,Mr Irshad Ahmed Wani , Director, Kashmir University North Campus and  Mr Syed Nissar Geelani , leader from Kissan Mazdoor Party.

The event further redefined the fine rapport that exists between the Army and the locals.
